Self-Confidence, Social Confidence, Body Confidence and Inclusion
Through Dance

Clinical studies have proven that physical exercise is beneficial in reducing mental health problems, boosting the immune system, and increasing cognitive function. Dance is an ideal medium for physical exercise as it can be as slow and gentle as yoga, or as high cardio as circuit training.
Dance is inclusive: no matter the physical ability, everyone responds to music and movement.
Dance crosses social boundaries.
Dance promotes inclusiveness through its multicultural aspect: people connect with their culture.
ConfiDANCE for LIFE’s mission is:
- the advancement of health by the development of self-confidence, social confidence, body confidence and inclusion through dance;
- to make dance accessible to a range of people who would gain most from its therapeutic benefits, and those who would otherwise be unable to access such opportunities;
- to promote safe dance and healthy dancers.
ConfiDANCE for LIFE has worked with organisations who support clients with physical disability, additional learning needs, mental health issues, menopause-related health issues. ConfiDANCE for LIFE has sponsored scholarships at UK dance events for dancers who would, otherwise, be unable to access dance instruction.
